Wizards are men with magic, such as Zeddicus Z'uul Zorander. He is a Wizard Of The First Order, one of three. One is dead, one works for Rahl and then there's Zedd (in the beginning). Part way through the first season, Kahlan kills Darken Rahl's wizard of the first order, Giller, during a Condar (a bloodrage).
