Denna was a
Mord-Sith.
Mord-Sith
Denna was the Mord-Sith who was ordered to capture Rciahrd Rahl and train him. She succeeded, but Richards love for Kahlan Amnell let him escape the effects of being trained and he and Kahlan escaped the Mord-Sith temple, but before, Richard killed Denna. But another Mord-Sith, Constance revivded Denna with the Breath of Life.
Darken Rahl punished Denna severly for letting the Seeker get away and then he ordered her to find the Pristinly Ungifted one, Jennsen Rahl and have her bring to him the third Box or Orden. Again, Denna succeeded but the Seeker came upon them and Denna took captive Jennsens mother, who was also Zedd's daughter and Richards mother, in exchange for the third box, and to make it more pressing for the Seeker, she killed her with her Agiel and would only give her the breath of life if they brought the third box back to her.
Plan for power
Richard eventually gained the Power of Orden and discovered Denna lied, their mothers body would not last long enough to be revivded. In a rage, Richard ordered Kahlan to kill Denna, Jennsen seperated the Boxes when she saw how the magic was corrupting Richard, saving Denna's life. Denna begged Richard to finish her off before Rahl found her, but he only gave her the chance of a head start away from Rahl.
Denna started a plan to train a D'Haran general and kill him and kill Richard and have the generals spirirt put into Richard's body. The plan worked but Kahlan and Zedd and Cara caught on and managed to put Richards spirit back into his own body.
Death
Denna took Zedd capture and planned to train him to do her wishes but Kahlan and Cara killed Denna right before Zedd had her to consider to live a better life.
